Kevin Cardboard Physics Boat 2009 : My son's high school physics class holds this competition at the end of the school year. Each team must build a boat from cardboard and duct tape. Then they must row the length of the pool and back. The team with the quickest time wins.

Kevin's Cardboard Boat for Physics class. : In Kevin's Physics class, several teams were given equal amounts of corrugated cardboard and duct tape. They needed to make a boat that could be rowed two lengths of the school's pool. Kevin's boat won the day he competed, but came in 3rd overall. His instructor awarded his team extra points for "style." Be sure to play the video of their first run. They even enlisted the aid of a bass drum from the school band. (it should be the first picture.)
