While in Stuttgart we visited the Mercedes Benz Museum.
This was cool. An early horizontally opposed 2 cylinder gasoline engine.
A "toilet room" inside the men's restroom in the Mercedes Museum.
My father had a 1962 190SL for many years. I learned to drive a stick shift in his car.
We had a 1964 220S like this when I was a boy.
As a boy I traveled countless miles in the back seat of a 220S just like this. Across the US to Florida, south to a days drive past Mexico city and north to Yellowstone and Mt Rushmore. We had this car for many years. Mercedes was touting it's advances in passenger safety and comfort as being totally cutting edge for the time.
This is only a model of a streamlined Mercedes bus. I don't know if it was every actually built. I really liked it. Really pretty and it looks really comfortable.
