Our hotel in Berchtesgaden.
The train station (right) is the same size as the train station in Oslo (a much larger city). Built by the Third Reich, the train station included a reception area for Hitler to greet his guests.
This is the restaurant where we had a great dinner.
One of our best meals in a restaurant was in this place in Bertesgaden.
We had some fabulous dishes on an outdoor patio, which luckily we had just finished before it began to rain.

Berchtesgaden. It's hard to imagine this place was once crawling with the top tier Nazi leaders. Hitler, Bormann, Göring.
Midway up this hill is Obersalzberg. Hitler's home and command headquarters. The Eagle's Nest is barely visible on the peak of the tallest hill here.
